Sushant Singh Rajput, Bollywood Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was a prominent Bollywood actor who rose to fame with his debut movie Kai Po Che! He began his career as a television actor and gained huge popularity. His appreciable acting skills served as a doorway to the silver screen with a leading role in the soap opera "Pavitra Rishta". Sushant is also recognized for his impeccable dancing skills which became visible during his participation in a dance based reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa".

Early Life of Sushant Singh Rajput
Sushant Singh Rajput was born on 21st January 1986 in Patna, Bihar. His father initially worked in Patna as a government official but later, in early 2000s, the family moved to Delhi. Rajput has four sisters with him being the youngest in the family. One of his sisters, Mitu Singh is a state-level cricketer. He got AIEEE All India Rank 7. He did his schooling initially from St. Karen`s High School at Patna and later from Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Delhi. After schooling he had started studying at Delhi College of Engineering (DCE). However, he dropped the course after three years to follow his dreams of becoming an actor. Being a student of famed choreographer Shiamak Davar, he was selected as a part of the troupe which performed in the 2006 Commonwealth Games. He was also among the background dancers who performed at 51st Filmfare Awards. Afterwards, he moved to Mumbai and continued to work with theatres. He was also a member of Nadira Babbar`s "Ekjute" theatre group. He also attended Barry John`s drama classes. He even learnt martial arts under the able and skilful guidance of Allan Amin.

In 2008, Sushant Singh Rajput was spotted by "Balaji Telefilms` casting team in one of his plays and was asked to audition. He landed the role of Preet Juneja in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. His character was the fun-loving, childish younger brother of the lead actor.

His next venture started in 2009 with the show Pavitra Rishta where he essayed the role of Manav Deshmukh. This character was seen as very serious and mature, working as a mechanic to help support his family. He falls in love with Archana, an uneducated, caring young woman, played by Ankita Lokhande. He quitted the show Pavitra Rishta in October 2011 for pursuing a film making course abroad.

He participated in a dance based reality show Zara Nach ke Dikha 2 in May 2010 where he performed along with a group. He joined another dance based reality show named Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 in December 2010. In the show, he along with his choreographer won the title of Most Consistent Performer.

Film Career of Sushant Singh Rajput
Sushant Singh Rajput attended the auditions for Abhishek Kapoor`s movie "Kai Po Che" and was selected for one of the three lead roles. The movie was released in 2013 and was a commercial success. Sushant also earned overwhelming critical acclamations for his effortless acting in the movie. His second release was "Shuddh Desi Romance", under the direction of Maneesh Sharma. In the movie he starred alongside Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor and delivered praiseworthy performance. His second movie was also a commercial success. Rajput has a small role in Rajkumar Hirani`s film "PK". Rajput"s next project was to portray Byomkesh Bakshi in director Dibakar Banerjee`s upcoming film, "Detective Byomkesh Bakshy". During the time "Raaz 2" was being shot, Sushant played an important role in assisting Mohit Suri.

Sushant Singh Rajput was engaged to Ankita Lokhande, his co-star from the television show Pavitra Rishta. Rajput proposed to Lokhande on national television in February 2011 on the dance show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4. Sushant Singh Rajput also plays a very big role in the field of social work. He has supported various child literacy projects and has aided several movements to provide poor children with food.

Death of Sushant Singh Rajput
Sushant Singh Rajput reportedly hanged himself to death in his apartment on 14th June, 2020. His mysterious death is being probed by national agencies till any confirmed reason behind it comes to light.
