Concept of Suppandi
Suppandi is a simpleton and often gets into troubles whenever he thinks about how to perform a task better instead of following the straightforward orders and commands of his master. In the first issue, it was shown that his master`s wife was sick and she wanted Suppandi to call a doctor. But rather than following the order like a normal domestic help, he brought a brainwave and attempted to take care of her himself. The conclusion was disastrous and hilarious. On the contrary, some stories also show that Suppandi became over obedient and refused to turn on the headlights of a scooter during night time as his master had ordered him to save electricity and reduce the electricity bill. He often fired from his job due to his recurrent mistakes and idiotic activities.
One of the most admired stories of Suppandi includes a tale when a friend of his master had come to visit. His new master, who was a miser, ordered him to give his friend only half of whatever the guest wanted. Suppandi obediently followed his master`s instructions and everything appeared to be alright, until the guest asked for a magazine which featured his master`s article. Suppandi followed his master`s orders and gave only half of the magazine to the guest.
