In the Puranas it is mentioned that Stambha is one of the seven Rishis of the second Manwantara. Second Manvantara is the interval of Swarochisha Manu. The names of other rishis or sages are Urja, Prana, Dattoli, Rishabha, Nischara, and Arvarivat.
