Srivasa Thakura was a Vaishnava saint who was considered as tatastha-shakti which is a marginal energy of Lord. Srivasa is also considered as Narada who was an eternal preternatural associate of Lord Krishna. He studied Srimad-Bhagavatam with Advaita Acharya, who was at that time in Navadvipa. They worshiped Krsna, who as an answer to their prayers, appeared as Caitanya Mahaprabhu and converted many atheists - Mayavadis, Buddhists and others who were opposed to pure devotional service - making them all His loving devotees.
Srivasa`s home Srivasangam was a place where Sri Chaitanya performed sankirtana yajna. It was a congregational chanting of Krishna`s Holy Names. There he showed his transcendental form to all associates. Srivasa Thakura previously lived in Sri Hatta. However he wanted the association of devotees so lived on the banks of the Ganges in Nabadwip. He had three brothers: Sripati, Srirama and Srinidhi. His only son died at a young age. Srivasa has also been mentioned in the Pancha Tattva mantra as a spokesperson of a pure devotee.
