Sonal Sehgal born on born July 13, 1981 catapulted to fame with her powerhouse performance in `Saara Akaash`, which was broadcasted on the Star Plus channel. In that soap she was seen essaying the role of terrorist. Another claim to her fame and recognition was the serial `Hotel Kingston.`

Before Sonal Sehgal pursued the profession of acting whole-heartedly she was assisting the ad filmmaker and director Pradeep Sarkar whose directorial debut was the Bollywood chartbuster `Parineeta.` Following that she performed in a few ad campaigns. On a personal note Sonal Sehgal tied the knot with Naresh Kamath on 7th December at Ram Mandir, which is situated in Bandra in the Indian state of Maharashtra. He is a guitarist in the popular band called `Kailasa.`
