Sohail Khan is an Indian actor and filmmaker, who works for the Hindi film industry. He is also involved in production of movies under the banner of Sohail Khan Productions. He began his career as a film director and producer. He made his directional debut in the year 1997 with the movie "Auzaar". He started working as an actor on the silver screen in the year 2002. He is the younger brother of famed actors Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan.

Early Life of Sohail Khan
Sohail Khan was born to the famous screenwriter Salim Khan and his wife Sushila Charak on 20th December 1970 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His mother is Marathi Hindu by religion. Sohail`s paternal grandfather hailed from Afghanistan and settled down in the Indore< city of Madhya Pradesh. Popular Bollywood actress Helen, known for her dance and item numbers, is her stepmother. Alvira Khan is her sister who is married to another popular actor Atul Agnihotri.

Career of Sohail Khan
Sohail Khan stepped into the film arena as a movie producer and director. He directed his first movie, an action thriller Auzaar, in the year 1997. His next movie as a film director was Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1998 in which he directed both his brothers Arbaaz Khan and Salman Khan. The movie was a huge success at the box office. In the following year he once again directed his brothers in the movie Hello Brother under the banner G.S. Entertainment, which was the earlier banner of Sohail Khan. The movie did not do well in the box office. In the year 2002, Sohail Khan made his acting debut through the movie Maine Dil Tujhko Diya where he appeared alongside Sameera Reddy. He also produced and directed the movie, however, the movie failed at box office. This was followed by a few more films which could not earn the actor much fame. The year 2005 brought the actor his first success with the movie Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? In the movie he was featured along with his brother Salman Khan. His next venture was the multi-starrer film Fight Club - Members Only which was again written and directed by Sohail himself. In 2006, he starred in a boxing drama Aryan. Although the movie could not do well in the box office, his performance received much appreciation. He also produced the movie Partner which brought him huge success. The movie featured his brother Salman Khan and Govinda as the lead actors. In 2007 he had just one release, a multi starrer movie Salaam-E-Ishq: A Tribute to Love. His movies as an actor in the following years include Hello, Heroes, Veer, Krishna Cottage and many more. As a producer his other projects were I - Proud to Be an Indian, God Tussi Great Ho, Main Aurr Mrs Khanna and Ready.

Sohail Khan has also been involved with the production of live stage shows in the country as well as overseas where a number of film stars performed. He also produced a few music videos.
