Sinquerim Beach, North GoaSinquerim beach is located at about 13 km from Panaji, the capital city of Goa. This beach is one of the famous beaches in Goa where one can enjoy the water sports in various ways. The adventure tourism in Sinquerim beach includes the water-skiing, para-sailing, fishing, zorbing, scuba diving and windsurfing.

Sinquerim beach is known as the first tourist beach of North Goa. This beach is very famous among the tourists of all levels.

Sinquerim beach is a beautiful beach that has a spectacular stretch of sand. It is located at the south of the famous beaches like Baga Beach, Calangute Beach and Candolim Beach. Sinquerim beach is an ideal place for swimming. Aguada Light House, Sunburn Festival and various water-sports are major attractions of this place.

Sinquerim beach at Sinquerim, a place of natural beauty located in North Goa, lies adjacent to the Aguada beach of Goa. Near Sinquerim beach, one can see the famous fort of Goa- the Aguada fort that was built by the Portuguese.

Aguda Fort
Aguada fort once protected Portuguese from external attacks. Aguda fort was constructed in the year 1613 to guard against the Dutch East India Company and the Marathas. Aguda fort was a reference point for the ships of the traders coming from Europe at that time. This old Portuguese fort stands on the beach, south of Candolim Beach, at the shore of the Mandovi River. As the Aguda fort is located on a mountainous area covered by impenetrable forests so one can expect scorching heat during summers.

Aguada Lighthouse
Aguada Lighthouse was originally built in 1864 in order to give the direction to the Portuguese traders coming from Europe. The Aguada lighthouse is the oldest in Asia. Today, the lighthouse complex still does a fine job doing what lighthouses should, pointing a bright light towards the sea to guide ships along the coastline. It attracts plenty of tourists too during day times.

Sunburn Festival
Sunburn Festival is held in between the 27th to 29th of December every year. This festival has an aim to foster the young talents in music with a mix of West and Oriental musical arena. Sunburn Festival is the largest music festival in Asia. It was introduced in the year 2007, as an experimental electronic music event but has now grown into a monstrous commercial house music franchise.

Sinquerim beach offers as the prominent leisure tourism spot with plenty of water sport activities like boat ride, banana boat ride, water scooters and many others.

Visiting Information
Sinquerim beach at Sinquerim is located in the Bardez sub district of North Goa and is about 50 minutes by car from Dabolim Airport of Goa. This beautiful village is around 16 kilometers from the capital of Goa, Panaji. This is bordered by another famous tourist spot of Goa, Candolim beach. The Calangute-Baga beach stretch is a few minutes, which also allures the national international level tourists.
