Siddharth NarayanSiddharth Suryanarayan was born in 17 April, 1979 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He studied at DAV Boys` Senior Secondary School, Chennai and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi and got his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Kirori Mal College, New Delhi. Siddharth was part of the reputed theatre group of the college The Players. He was also president of the college`s debating society and attended the World Debating Championships. He went on to complete his MBA in 2001 from S P Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.

Career of Siddharth
Siddharth began his career as an assistant director of Kannathil Muthamittal by Mani Ratnam. Later he was offered a role in the Tamil film Boys (2003) and starred opposite Genelia D`Souza. The same pair was back again with Bommarillu (2006), a Telugu film. In the super hit movie of Mani Ratnam Aayutha Ezhutha in 2003 Siddharth acted and also worked as an assistant Director. Siddharth won accolades for his performance in the Prabhu Deva directed blockbuster Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. Rang De Basanti came along in 2006. He shared the screen space with ace actors like Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Atul Kulkarni. Inspite of being a part of a multi-starrer film Siddharth left behind an indelible mark with his unforgettable performance. In the Telugu film Chukkallo Chandrudu (2006) directed by Siva Kumar, Siddharth proved his versatility by venturing into screen playing and playback singing. He worked with director Vishal Bhardwaj and Oscar winning cinematographer Guillermo Navarro on a short film titled Blood Brothers which screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. Thereafter Siddharth has worked in many other movies like Aata, Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam, Oy!, Striker and others for which he received rave reviews.

Awards and Honours of Siddharth
Siddharth won the ITFA Best New Actor Award for Boys in 2003. He got his first Filmfare Best Telugu Actor Award for Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (2005), a Telugu film. He is also the winner of 13th Annual Star Screen Awards as the Most Promising Newcomer for Rang De Basanti.

In a short span of time Siddharth has achieved great feats yet greater opportunities surely await him.
