Shouvik Ghosh is an Indian football player. Presently, he plays as a Left Back for Mohun Bagan A.C. (Athletic Club) in the I-League. Ghosh was born on 5 November 1992 in Uttarpara in the West Bengal state of India.
National Career of Shouvik Ghosh
He joined Pailan Arrows Team in the year 2010 when it was formed as AIFF XI. Ghosh made only two appearances in his first season for Pailan Arrows. Then he established himself as a regular player in the next season playing in 16 matches in 2011-12. His excellent performance earned him recognition. He was named the captain of the outfit on 10 October 2012. He spent three years with Pailan Arrows Team.
Ghosh next joined Mohun Bagan Athletic Club. In 2013, his association with the team was confirmed. On 23 October 2013, Ghosh made his debut in the I-League against Salgaocar F.C. at the Salt Lake Stadium. He came on as a substitute for Ravinder Singh in the 46th minute as Mohun Bagan won the match 2-1.
International Career of Shouvik Ghosh
The opportunity to play on international field came when he got to play for the India U19 during the AFC U-19 qualifying campaigns. He made his India U23 debut against Lebanon U23 on 23 June 2012 during the qualifiers for the 2013 AFC U-22 Asian Cup. Ghosh played the whole 90 minutes as India won 5-2.
