Shivaji College, Ring Road, New DelhiShivaji College is a constituent college of Delhi University running under the trusteeship of the then Delhi Administration. It is a co-educational institution imparting instructions in several subjects at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Located in Ring Road, Raja Garden, New Delhi-110027, it encircles a huge track of the green belt. The college has magnificient, well-maintained fields and gardens with a huge variety of plantation and trees, giving it a dazzling look all through the year.

Over the years, numerous students of Shivaji college have shown brilliant academic records, excelling in the academic pasture by incurring top positions in various examinations of Delhi University. With its roomy library, well-stocked laboratories and a crystal clean ambience, the college provides an idyllic ambiance for pursuing education. Currently the Shivaji College library has a huge collection of 82,000 volumes of books including reference books, encyclopedias, lexicons, bibliographies and books of general knowledge. In addition the college subscribes to numerous academic journals on different subjects, multiple magazines of general interest and also popular leading daily newspapers. The library is open on all working days as well as on vacations.

The laboratories of Shivaji college are modern, well stocked and adeptly managed for all science courses like Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany.

For creating consciousness in current happenings, especially those pertaining to gender issues, sections of Women`s Studies and Development Centre have also been formed. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) wing for both male and female students, is a recent addition of Shivaji College. The College provides arrangements to their students to join the National Service Scheme. For facilitating health care facilities, The West Delhi Health Centre of the Delhi University also operates from the Shivaji College campus. One also can have light refreshments at affordable rates from the college canteen.

Shivaji College imparts teaching in several courses, like B.A. Programme; B.A. (Hons.) in English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Economics, Political Science, Geography, History; B.Com. (Pass) ; B.Com. (Hons.) in Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Physics, Bio-chemistry, Chemistry; B.Sc. (Gen) ; B.Sc. (Hons.) ; M.A; M.A. B.B.E.; Vocational Courses. The College has widespread playgrounds providing an excellent scope to the students to participate in handful of games and sports.

Thus it can be said that apart from academics, the College has shouldered many achievements in the field of sports also. Not only has the college won prizes in numerous sporting events, quite a number of students have also represented the University in the Delhi State level competitions organised at the Inter-University or National level, with some of them participating in global events also. The college has won not only the prestigious Green Cup at the Annual Flower Show of the University but other prizes also in several categories at the Annual Flower Show of the University.
