Her works are mostly consisted of intersection of magical realism, technology and art for social change. Recently, she has engaged herself in biofeedback technology and the interaction between the body and art. Some of her large scale creations are the installations which beat with human"s heart, apps which react to brainwaves and sculptures that glow with breath. Shilo has also been engaged in designing installations for some of the biggest festivals and conferences of the world including Burning Man. Shilo Shiv Suleman is the founder and director of "The Fearless Collective", which is concerned with the gender issues and social change with art in India.

Early Life of Shilo Shiv Suleman
Shilo Shiv Suleman was born in 1989 and brought up in Bengaluru, Karnataka. She is trained in animation from the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology with a graduation degree in 2011 as a class valedictorian. Shilo"s mother, Nilofer Suleman, is also a noted Indian contemporary painter. Shilo started to draw and write at her young age getting inspired by her mother. Earlier she gained recognition as a blogger and illustrator at her teenage. Shilo"s first illustrated children"s book was published at the age of 16 years; since then she has done several more. Her early works of art were much darker than her current works, which are way more vibrant.

Shilo Shiv Suleman, Indian PaintersKhoya: "Khoya" is a storybook app for the iPad, which Shilo designed for her diploma project with Avijit Michael.

Fearless Collective: It is collective of over 400 artists in India, who are using community art to protest the gender violence. Shilo was featured for this project in a host of documentaries including Rebel Music by MTV. She was also felicitated with the Femina "Woman of Worth award" and Futurebooks Digital Innovation award in London for her work with art and gender violence.

Pulse and Bloom: In the year 2014, Shilo collaborated with neuroscientist Rohan Dixit to create art that interacts with one`s brainwaves and other biofeedback sensors. This project made her a recipient of several grants and residencies, including an honorarium grant from Burning Man. The biofeedback installation brought together artists, architects, entrepreneurs, builders and neurotechnologists. It was then featured on a host of international media like BBC, Rolling Stone, MSNBC, Tech Crunch, The Guardian, WIRED and others.

Shilo on Talk Shows
Shilo was invited by the Ted Global to talk about "Using Tech to Enable Dreaming". The show got over a million views in 2012. She was then chosen as one of the three pioneering Indian women at Ted Global, followed by several other conferences like WIRED, DLD in London and Munich.
