Sheetal Mallar is an Indian model and photographer hailing from Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra. Her modeling career began when she was a 17 through a jewelry campaign. She rose to the limelight after her victory in the “Femina Look of The Year†in 1994 surpassing Madhu Sapre, a top model of that time. She also holds the victory of “Elite Look of The Year†in 1994. In an interview with mid-day.com Mallar confessed does not have any sort of workout routine. She does yoga twice a week, goes for walking and cycling and eats ghee every day. She has gone through a food therapy after developing problems with acidity. She used to consume homemade ghee on a daily basis and that turned out to be one of her greatest saviors. It is also the secret behind her flawless skin. She also suggests eating Chocolate and doing Yoga as it will keep the happy hormones proactive.

After a certain point of time in her career, Mallar hit the peak of realization that modeling is not something she wants to continue for the rest of her life. Painting and art has always been her mediums of self-expression. Thus, after dominating the whole decade of fashion industry from 1990s to early 2000s, the supermodel started to pursue her interest with photography. She is a self-taught mostly but at the initial time hired a professional to teach the basics. She worked as a photographer for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week where she shot a backstage series. Later to that, her main interest shifted into photographing people specifically. She is fond of documenting human relationships with themselves and surroundings. Mallar got hitched with an Italian tennis player, Mose Navarra. Although, there is no information available about her present relationship status. Her marriage was held at Hare Rama Hare Krishna Temple in Juhu, Mumbai. The wedding apparel was designed by her friend Rohit Bahl, a popular name in the Indian fashion industry.
