Shantha Rangaswamy is also popularly known as Shanta Rangaswamy. She was born on 1st January 1954 in the city of Madras now known as Chennai. She was a part of the women`s cricket team and represented her country in 16 matches` from1976 to 1991, leading the side in 8 matches in 1976-77 and four in 1983-84.
She also participated in 19 Women`s One-day Internationals from 1981-2 to 1986, captaining the side in 16 matches from 1981-2 to 1983-4.

Personal life of Shantha Rangaswamy
Shantha Rangaswamy was born to CV Rangaswamy and Rajalakshmi. She was the third sister among seven.
She has a niece, Neeta Sreekanth, who is on the Women`s Basketball team at California State University, Northridge.
She is now a cricket writer and an executive in the Canara Bank.
