Shama Sikander is one of the actresses in tellydom and originally hails from the Indian state of Rajasthan. Born on 4 August, she is known in her family by the name of Shams. Her father is Sikander Ali Gesawat, and mother is Gulshan Sikander Ali Gesawat. Shama has two brothers, Rizwan and Khalid, and one sister named Salma.In 1991 she shifted to Mumbai to try her luck in acting.
Shama Sikander carried on with her struggle and did a cameo with Aamir Khan in the movie `Mann` and with Fardeen Khan in the movie `Prem Aagan.` She also appeared in some music videos. She got her major break in the small screen with the serial titled `Yeh Meri Life Hai.` In the serial she played the lead role.
