Shaheed Bhagat Singh College , DelhiShaheed Bhagat Singh College is a co- educational college which is located at Sheikh Sarai, (Triveni) Phase-II , New Delhi - 110017, India. It is affiliated to the University of Delhi. Inspired by the ideas of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, a legendary figure of Indian freedom movement, the then Delhi Administration laid its foundation in 1967. Its primary emphasis is education- dedicated to promote quality education to its students. The college has a faculty who are exceptionally devoted and erudite, thoroughly engaged in research and writing. Due to their contributions the Shaheed Bhagat Singh College has become one of the reputed colleges, imparting higher education in the field of Commerce and Social Sciences. Besides producing some of the brilliant Chartered Accountants and multinational executives, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College alumni have also excelled in extracurricular activities like sports, drama etc.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College offers courses both at under graduate and postgraduate levels. Some of the undergraduate courses of the college are B.Com. (Honours); B.Com. (Pass). In B.A. Honours, subjects like Hindi, History, English, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Political Science, and Physical Education are taught.

Scholarships and awards are distributed to the students of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. Some of the famed are the Soumitra Chakaravarty Memorial Scholarships, Central Students Council 1976-77 Scholarships, All India Entrance Scholarships. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Scholarships are provided to the eligible scheduled caste/scheduled tribe students who have passed matric level examinations.

The Shaheed Bhagat Singh College provides plentiful opportunities for co-curricular activities, seminars and workshops. The organisers also have formed a `Debating and Drama Society`. The Journal of Business Studies of the Department of Commerce and the bi-lingual college magazine `Vani` also have numerous subscribers. The wing of the National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.) of the college is quite active. The College also offers National Service Scheme (N.S.S.). Here students can voluntarily enroll their names and can actively participate in various social awareness programmes like drug controlling, tree plantation etc.

The Shaheed Bhagat Singh College has a well-furnished library with a huge collection of about sixty thousand volumes and seventy periodicals including descriptive works. Recently some new books were added which brings the total number of books to about 59654. Discipline and regulation is maintained within the library so that students can enjoy reading in silence and serenity. Special efforts are taken to help the poor students by lending them books and periodicals.
