Shahana Goswami, Indian ActressShahana Goswami was born in 1986 and is a well-known Bollywood actress. Shahana was born in New Delhi and attended Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi and later Sophia College, Mumbai. Shahana Goswami is the daughter of former CII Chief Economist Omkar Goswami and Anomita Goswami. Shahana Goswami has an elder brother Srijit Goswami who is a PhD student in Physics at Cambridge University, UK. She spent two years in USA during her childhood when her father was a faculty member at Rutgers University, USA. Shahana is trained in Odissi for 10 years under Guru Padmashri Kiran Segal. She has travelled and performed extensively with her dance troupe all over the world.

Career of Shahana Goswami
Shahana`s began her acting career at Jaimini Pathak`s theatre group Working Title. There she began working as a production assistant and then acted in their productions Seagull and Arabian Nights.

Shahana Goswami, Indian Actress Next she met talent consultant Shanoo Sharma who suggested her to audition for a role in Naseeruddin Shah`s directorial debut `Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota.` She also did a cameo role in Reema Katgi`s `Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.` She acted as Boman Irani`s daughter in the movie. She was next recommended for the lead role in Percept Picture Company`s `Rubaru`, directed by Arjun Bali, with Randeep Hooda as her co-star. Subsequently with her hard and acting potentials she bagged the role of Debbie in the blockbuster hit movie `Rock On!!` She starred opposite Arjun Rampal, Farhan Akhtar and Prachi Desai. Her performance fetched her many awards. The most prestigious award was the Filmfare Best Actress (Critics) award, which no supporting actress had won until then. She has worked in many other popular movies.

She has also appeared in the music video for Dido`s "Let`s Do the Things We Normally Do" as a taxi driver in Mumbai. The video was shot by Siddharth Sikand. She also did a Fevicol commercial. Shahana`s did her first international project in Deepa Mehta`s `Winds of Change` which was an adaptation of Salman Rushdie`s Booker-winning novel Midnight`s Children.

In 2009 she won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance, Star Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress Award, Lions Gold Award for Best Supporting Actress and the Cineblitz Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the movie `Rock On!!` In the year 2010 she won the Stardust Award for Breakthrough Performance-Female and the Lions Gold Award for Best Supporting Actress for the movie `Firaaq.`
