Seth Edulji Dinshaw was great philanthropist of the 18th century, in Karachi.

Seth Edulji Dinshaw , Indian BusinessmanSeth Edulji Dinshaw lived in Karachi and member of the Parsi community.He was a contractor of British army during the period of Second Afghan War and earned huge money in this time.With this huge money he started to do some noble works.He contributed a large portion of money to build Lady Dufferin Hospital, Edulji Dinshaw Dispensary and Nadarshaw Edulji Dinshaw Dispensary.He also donated money for maintaining two trust, named, The Soonabai Edulji Dinshaw Charitable Fund and The Bachubai Edulji Dinshaw Nirashrit Fund for the improvement of Parsi Community.In 1885 and 1887 he gave Rs.3000 to the college fund of Sind Art College in Karachi.

Seth Edulji Dinshaw was appointed the Director of Land and Shipping Co.in Karachi. He was the member of the Parsi Matrimonial Court and Karachi Municipal Corporation.He was also the trustee of Karachi Port Trust.Seth Edulji Dinshaw was awarded the C.I.E.award in 1899 for his charitable works. Seth Edulji Dinshaw died on 8th May in the year, 1914.
