Saurabh Sunil Tiwary, more popular as Saurabh Tiwary, is an Indian cricket player. A left-handed middle order batsman, he gained popularity as an Indian One Day International and first class cricketer. He came into spotlight after Indian Premier League (IPL) 2010 where he was seen plundering 419 runs in 16 games. Tiwary was also one of the key batsmen in the Indian team that won the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup in Malaysia.

He was born on 30 December 1989 in a Bihari family in Ramgarh in Jharkhand state of India. He was brought up in Jamshedpur. He started playing cricket at the age of 11.

Career of Saurabh Tiwary
Tiwary made his first-class debut in the 2006-07 Ranji Trophy. Prior to this, he represented his state Jharkhand at the Under-14 level. Next, he played for Mumbai Indians in the 2008 Indian Premier League. Since then, he has become a regular player for them. He has won the Under-23 player of the tournament for IPL 2010 and was dubbed as a left-handed version of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. In the tournament, he scored 419 runs in 16 matches, at an average of 29.92 and strike rate of 135.59. Following his impressive performance, he was called into the squad for the 2010 Asia Cup, but did not play.

In the year 2010, he made his ODI debut against Australia in Visakhapatnam. Next, he was bought by Delhi Daredevils in Indian Premier League 2014. However, he was replaced by Imran Tahir (South Africa) after he was sidelined by an injured shoulder.
