The genesis of Sathyabama University lies on Sathyabama Engineering College. The College was under the aegis of Jeppiaar Educational Trust and famous for modern facility and excellent placements. In 2001 the University was declared as the deemed university under the under section (3) of the UGC Act. The main objective of the University is to promote technical education in Tamil Nadu.
