Sardar Patel University
Sardar Patel University is located in Vallabh Vidyanagar in the Anand district of Gujarat. It was named after the great Indian freedom fighter Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.

Sardar Patel UniversitySardar Patel University founded the University in 1955. The University has several post-graduate departments and a number of affiliated colleges under its wing. The departments under the Department of Bio-Science, Department of Business Studies, Department of Business Management, Department of Chemistry Department of Computer Science, Department of Economics, Department of Education Department of Electronics, Department of English, Department of Gujarati, Department of Hindi, Department of History, Department of Home Science, Department of Library & Information Science, Department of Materials Science, Department of Mathematics Department of Physics, Department of Political Science, Department of Psychology Department of Sanskrit, Department of Social Work (MSW), Department of Sociology, Department of Statistics, University Science Instrumentation Center (USIC) and M. B Patel College of Education (B. Ed.)

The University offers education, training and research programmes to its students. It also organizes seminars, training programs, refresher courses, workshops, and conferences. The University Museum located in the campus has a collection of rich artefacts relating to the culture and heritage of the region. The university has been given a four star status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
