Sankata Devi Temple is a prominent tourist attraction site in Shahabad city of Uttar Pradesh. It is located above the Sankata Ghat. This is the ancient Sankata Devi Temple dedicated to Hindu Goddess of Remedy, Sankata Devi. The goddess is believed to be an old woman who protect her devotees from danger and remove obstacles. She is regarded as one of the Holy Mother and in Indian Puranas, this god is depicted as the goddess known as Vikat Matrika or the Fierce Matrika.

Sankata Devi Temple houses a 4 to 5 feet tall idol of the Devi with ten hands, which is said to be a self-manifested. On the right and left of the idol of the goddess, there are idol of Lord Hanuman and Bhairava respectively.

The Fridays are considered as auspicious day for worshiping Lordess Sankata Devi. Within the temple premises, there is a magnificent statue of a lion, a big Shiva lingam and a Banyan tree, which enshrines the idols of Lord Ganesha and Hanuman.
