Sanaghagara Waterfall has the rocky soil formation and it is situated at a distance of 3 kilometres on the upstream of Badaghagara Waterfall. Badaghagara Falls is located at a distance of 9 km from the district headquarters Kendujhar of Kendujhar district of tribal belt of Odisha. Being a perennial source of water, a dam has been constructed on the downstream side. It is situated at a distance of 3 kilometres on the downstream of this waterfall.

Sanaghagara Waterfall is a perennial waterfall. The Machha Kandana, a small river, plunges from a height of 30.5 metres (100 ft) in two drops.
