Cricketer turned actor Salil Ankola has successfully made a mark by his powerhouse performances both on the small screen and the wide screen the. His sharp looks and great physique has made him the heartthrob of the young and the old alike. This extremely talented persona hails from Karvar in the district of Konkan. He was born in Sholapur District, which is situated in the Indian state of Maharashtra. He was a commerce graduate from Pune and started playing cricket when he was in the 11th standard.
By the tender age of 18 he was already in the Indian cricket team and was also in the 1996 World Cup Team of India. He does not have any role models as such but he admires Amitabh Bachhan, Paresh Rawal and Al Pacino. He is particularly fond of the channels like Star Plus, Channel 9, Zee Television and B4U.
In his personal life also Salil Ankola is a very happy and contented man. As a true family man he likes spending time at home with his wife and two children. He likes to his club or prefers to be with his family or friends. According to him religion should be practical and not imposed. He is a Hindu and read his shlokas everyday, as there is some force behind them. He is a staunch believer of all religions. He does not believe that he has achieved even one percent because if he feels that he has got what he wanted then he would not be able to find fault and improve himself.
