Sajid Khan, Indian TV Anchor Sajid Khan is an Indian film director, talk show host, anchor, actor and script writer. He is also the younger brother of famous film-maker and choreographer Farah Khan. This alternative entertainer of the television is armed with an abrasive sense of humour and can destroy reputations with a smile. Sajid Khan is a striking persona and mocks every single celebrity from Amitabh Bachchan to Mallika Sherawat. He is greatly influenced and inspired by Eddie Murphy and defines his style of humour as sharp tongue and below the belt.

Early Life of Sajid Khan
Sajid Khan was born on November 23, 1971, as Sajid Kamran Khan, in Mumbai, India, to the parents Kamran Khan and Menakai. His mother Menakai is the sister of former child stars Daisy Irani and Honey Irani. Sajid Khan is the brother of Farah Khan, and editor-director Shirish Kunder is his brother-in-law.

Career of Sajid Khan
Sajid Khan`s first show Main Bhi Detective was a big flop and could not make any impact on the audience. The turning point of his career came with a call from Kailash Gandhi asking him to host the music countdown show Ikke Pe Ikka, which was first aired on Zee Cinema in the year 1995. In fact this show made its entry into the Guiness Book of Records as the longest running countdown show that has ever been aired on television.

He also appeared on the serial Kehne Mein Kya Harj Hai on Sony TV, during the 90`s where he mimicked actors and cracked jokes. He has also acted in a movie named Jhooth Bole Kouwa Kate. Sajid always had the urge in him to direct a film. He has also direct a small portion in the Ram Gopal Varma`s venture Darna Zaroori Hai. But he made his directorial debut with the out-and-out comedy Heyy Babyy. It is the first full-length feature film directed by Sajid Khan. It released on 24 August 2007. He managed to pull off a dream star cast with Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh, and Vidya Balan. He even convinced Shahrukh Khan to appear in a guest appearance. With a massive budget, Sajid Khan paid homage to his life long passion of filmmaking. He also owed a lot to his sister choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan for her support.

Sajid`s second film, Housefull was comedy film that released in 2010. It again featured Akshay Kumar in the lead, supported by Ritesh Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, and Boman Irani. The film was shot in Italy and London, over several months. It was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, and the film premiered at around 750 theatres across India. Although the film got negative reviews from the critics, but on release, the film had an opening weekend collection of Rs. 31 Crore in India. With the end of the first week, the projected film collection amounted to Rs 49.8 crore.

Currently, Sajid is planning and preparing for the sequel of his smash hit movie Housefull. Housefull 2 will again be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The sequel will repeat most of the original cast with Akshay Kumar in the lead, along with Ritesh Deshmukh, Chunkey Pandey and Randhir Kapoor. And the new cast includes, John Abraham, Asin , Jacqueline Fernandez, Mithun Chakraborty, Zarine Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and lot more.

Sajid Khan has also hosted talk shows like Sajid`s Superstars in 2008 where he invited his famous friends from the film fraternity. He was also the host of few MTV India talk shows and also presented many award functions, such as Star Screen Awards. Recently, he got entangled in controversy, when he had a verbal brawl with producer -director Ashutosh Gowariker in an Award ceremony. Sajid Khan even judged India`s Got Talent Khoj 2 Show that aired in Colors, where his opinions were widely criticized

Personal Life of Sajid Khan
In his personal life he comes as a very serious man. He claims that he has come to this industry to entertain people and make money and not to hog publicity. Among the great comedians, he idolises Groucho Marx, then Kishore Kumar and the third in the list is Kader Khan.

This extremely talented personality has crossed many milestones to reach where he is today. Known as the sharp-tongued funny man on television he has now grown up to be a director. Sajid Khan is a talent person in every aspect and his fans sincerely hope that he will reach the summit of his career in the near future.
