Ruchi is one of the Prajapatis or mind-born sons of Lord Brahma, according to Vayu Purana. He was married to Akuti. They together had twins, Yajna and Dakshina. Yajna later married Dakshina and had 12 sons, called Yamas, in the Manwantara of Swayambhuva.
