Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is a second initiative of Indian Railways after Palace on Wheels covering the entire Rajasthan, Varanasi, Delhi, Agra and Madhya Pradesh.

Modelling of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels
Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is modelled on the Palace on Wheels, and follows a similar route through Rajasthan. The target audience is the international tourists and the posh families of India. It is a train giving stress on the ancient temples, wildlife, historical monuments in Rajasthan, Delhi, Agra, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels was launched in January 2009 following the success of the Palace on Wheels, another luxury train that travels through Rajasthan

Accommodation of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels
Royal Rajasthan on Wheels has 14 luxury cabins housed and have been named after some erstwhile royal palace of Rajasthan. The accommodations are categorized into Deluxe and Super Deluxe saloons and these cabins come equipped with amenities such as Wi-Fi internet, Satellite TV, Channel music system and Individual temperature control. Some of the names of the cabin are Hawa Mahal, Padmini Mahal, Kishori Mahal, Phool Mahal and Super Deluxe Coach Taj Mahal.

Dining of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels
There are two dining cars in Royal Rajasthan on Wheels. These are named Swarn Mahal and Sheesh Mahal. Whereas Swarn Mahal is patterned on brass and gold theme, the Sheesh Mahal restaurant features spectacular floor lamps and crystal pelmets.

The souvenir coach of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels offers various handcrafter products and apparels which include beer mug, embossed leather jewellery product, cruet set, leather photo frame and various other accessories.

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels has a royal spa and it is latest addition in this luxury train amenities. This spa and recreation centre has the facilities which were enjoyed by the maharajas of Rajasthan, Gwalior, Delhi and Awadh, during the era of British East India Company and later the British Government in India.

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels takes tourists on a 7-days and 8 nights tour through Rajasthan. Royal Rajasthan on Wheels starts from Safdarjung railway station of New Delhi, and has stops at Jodhpur, Udaipur and Chittaurgarh. Ranthambore National Park, Japiur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Khajuraho temples are the special addition on the tourism with Royal Rajasthan on Wheels. While, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels also offers the scope to see the hidden truths in India- Varanasi and Sarnath are the special attraction to the foreign travellers and Agra for Fatepur Shikri, Agra Fort and Taj Mahal. Later Royal Rajasthan on Wheels has the final destination to Delhi.
