Rongbull, Sikkim, Hill Stations in IndiaRongbull Village is situated on the way to Darjeeling, just before Ghoom. It is a village in Namchi Tehsil in South District of Sikkim State. Rong Bull is surrounded by Sumbuk Tehsil towards South, Jorethang Tehsil towards west, Sikip Tehsil towards North and Temi Tarku Tehsil towards North. Nearby Cities of Rongbull are Kalimpong , Darjeeling, Gangtok , Siliguri. Nepali is the local language here.

Location of Rongbull
Rong Bull is located at 57 kilometres towards South from District head quarters Namchi. It is 36 kilometres away from the State capital of Sikkim, Gangtok.

Attractions of Rongbull
Rongbull is blessed with many tea gardens. Different valleys, waterfalls and endless stretches of Blue Mountains of the Himalayan Mountain range offer an astonishing sight to the tourists. This valley is also well-known for Indrani waterfall which is 3 kilometres away from the tea estate and is famous for its rainbow formation. Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and Kurseong are also other attractions of Rongbull.Rongbull, Sikkim, Hill Stations in India Trekking to the nearby Indrani Waterfall attracts a large number of sports lovers. Angling in Balasun River is also another option for the people.

Another attraction of Rongbull is the Tiger Hill which is only 10 kilometres away from Rongbull. During sunrise and sunset, people can see the golden colour over the Kanchenjungha peak. There is a mall also which allows people to experience the local culture through shopping and eateries. The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute founded by Tenzin Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary is also located here. Rongbull also provides basic mountaineering training to interested tourists.

Other attractions of Rongbull include Padmaja Naidu Zoological Garden, which is popularly known as Darjeeling Zoo and some of the rarest animals such as the Red Panda, the Snow Leopard, the Tibetian Wolf and the Himalayan Pheasant can also be found. A toy train trip to Darjeeling can also be a delightful journey.

Rongbull is well connected with the other parts of the country. The nearest airport is Bagdogra Airport which is 60 kilometres away. There is no railway station close to Rongbull in less than 10 kilometres. However, Darjeeling Rail Way Station is the major railway station which is 19 kilometres away.
