Rohit Roy, Indian TV Actor Rohit Roy is a popular actor of the small screen who shot to fame with the `angry young man` portrayal in the much popular soap Swabhimaan. With his reasonably good looks and easy going demeanour he seems to be the perfect pick of the producers for depicting romantic roles. His acting career took off after his appearance in the serial Swabhimaan. As a fairly good student, after doing his graduation with Physics, he was all set to go to America for pursuing MBA but unfortunately he was not granted a student visa. He was then working during the inter-regnum as an assistant director for Kunal Kapoor who is a reputed ad filmmaker. Following that he took up offers to model and soon Anant Belani who offered him the lead role in a movie names Jazbaat spotted him. Rohit Roy with his acting potentials reinvented the staid and stereotypical middle class hero of Doordarshan to play the rich, bratty, arrogant and charming dude. After a span of four years of the huge success of Swabhimaan, Rohit acted in a sitcom called Baat Ban Jaye on the Zee TV. He was also the director of the second season of the same show for about 52 episodes. Since then Rohit has acted in numerous shows across various channels and also hosted a number of live events and game shows including The Price is Right on Channel Nine, Sa Re Ga Ma on Zee Television, Dance Divas on Zoom Entertainment, Houzee on Play TV and currently Wild Ten on Zee Music.

Rohit Roy married Manasi Joshi and has a little daughter Kaira. Besides acting Rohit Roy has great passion for cricket.
