Rocky S saluted the hottest fabric of the season- denim marking the `Primitive` Collection. His denim jeans, skirts and shirts were wild and edgy, in colours like clay, slate, midnight blue and indigo and had effects like that of distressed denim, razored, shredded, ombre dyed, patch-worked, asymmetric, embroidered and beaded. These were teamed with funky street style t-shirts and white shirts. The unfinished hems frayed edges, careless lace trimmings and suede fringes of the shirts added to the untamed and wild look. There was ample use of leather tassels and broad leather tie-up belts with embellishments like embroidered square, copper sequins and mirrors as accessories.

LIFW 2006
The theme of the Collection was "Lovely Lolitas". His collection this year was straight out of a fantasy fairytale with "the lovely lolita" as the lead. It was inspired by the intuitive killer instinct of a woman. A colour palette of neutrals with deep pastels, varied hues of pink and champagne, cherry reds and forest greens all kissed with gold. Embellished with clear crystals, stones and polished pearls with a lot of lace accents and dimensional flowers, the look was "softly" opulent. Fabrics were mainly soft and flowing, like georgette and chiffon used in combination with rich weaves, prints and faux fur. The silhouettes were easy and body flattering, with emphasis on styling and surface texturing. It had an element of tease and a hint of sensuality masked with innocence.
In recent shows chastened by evolving tastes he`s been showcasing ambitious separates. But whomever his audience, Rocky S` love for life is as bright and upbeat as his starry front rows. One can hardly blame all and one then for naming the S in his name `STAR`
