R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, KolkataR.G. Kar is a famous hospital and a medical college in Kolkata. It was originally known as St. Car Michael Medical College. Dr. Radhagobindo Pal founded R.G. Kar Medical College and 20th December is observed as the foundation day of the institute.

One of the oldest medical colleges in the city, the college has many achievements to its credit. The Psychiatry Department of R.G. Kar Medical College is the oldest in the entire south East Asia.

With its distinguished past, the medical college stands amongst the leading medical institutes in the country and continues to train young doctors.
