Ravindra Jadeja is an Indian cricket player who has represented his country in ODI matches and plays for Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy and Kochi Tuskers in IPL.

Ravindra Jadeja, Indian Cricket PlayerRavinsinh Anhsinh Jadeja or Ravindra Jadeja as he is popularly known as is an Indian cricketer born on 6th December 1988. Jadeja is a left-hand middle-order batter and slow left-arm orthodox bowler He plays for the Saurashtra team in the Ranji Trophy and Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the Indian Premier League. He was also the member of the victorious under-19 Indian Team that won the World Cup in Malaysia in 2008.

Career of Ravindra Jadeja
International Career
He caught the eyes of the national selectors with the powerful all round performance in the 2008-09 Ranji Trophy. He was picked for the Indian Team in the ODI series in Sri Lanka. His debut in ODI came on 8th February 2009 where he scored 60*, but India lost the match. In the World Twenty20, 2009 he was widely criticized for slowing up the run rate. In the late 2009 Jadeja took the place of Yusuf Pathan. Jadeja delivered a match winning knock against the Sri Lankan team in Cuttack and was adjudged match of the match for his four wicket haul. 4 wickets for 32 runs are his best bowling figures so far.

He made a memorable comeback in the Indian side in 3rd ODI versus England at the Kennington Oval. Arriving at 58/5 after 19 overs, he had a 112-run partnership with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (69 from 103 balls) and then a 59-run blitzkrieg with Ravichandran Ashwin (36 not out from 19) to help his side reach 234/7 in 50 overs. He also had 2/42 from his 9 overs.

First Class Cricket Career
Jadeja made his debut at the first class level in 2006-07 Duleep Trophy. He is also an important part of the India-A set up. He also represents the West Zone in the Duleep Trophy and for Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy. Jadeja smashed 314 off just 375 balls hitting 29 fours and 9 sixes, in the early November of 2011.

Under 19 Cricket World Cup
He played an important part of the Under 19 World Cup Team in 2006 and 2008. His excellent cricket skills helped India win the 2008 edition of the World Cup.

Indian Premier League
In the inaugural edition of the IPL, Jadeja was selected for the Rajasthan Royals team. He displayed brilliant display of his cricketing talent, both with the bat and ball. He made huge contribution in the 2008 seasons when Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings in the finals played on June 1, 2008 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

In 2011, he was selected as part of Kochi Tuskers Kerala for $950,000.

Personal life of Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra presently lives in Jamnagar District, Gujarat. He hails from a Rajput family, and his father was the cousin of Ajay Jadeja.
