The University has seven campuses and three constituent colleges including Law College, Laxminarayan Institute of Technology and College of Education.

There are 439 colleges affiliated to the University. The University offers post graduate courses in various disciplines through 37 departments. Those departments are under 9 faculties including Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Home Science, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Ayurveda, and Faculty of Engineering & Technology. The University conducts several job oriented course including Mass Communication, Library Science, Fine Arts, Business Management Physical Education The University offers various research degrees like M. Phil., Ph. D. and Post-Doc. Apart from the formal courses the Rajiv Gandhi Vikas Biotechnology Centre of this University arranges training programs in maintenance and isolation of bio-pesticides or bio fertilisers culture and use of micro-bial technology in aqua-culture farming.
