The fort can be entered by only one gateway and near the fort there is situated Ghotge Palace. There are some Municipal office buildings, which belong to the Maharajas.

Mallapur Railway Station and Hubli Airport are the nearest to visit the fort. National Highway 16 connects Ramdurg to other major cities of India.
