Of the minor dramatists Ramacharana Thakura is a renowned dramatist well-versed in Sanskrit. He has to his credit only one drama Kamsa vadha. This drama features the use of nand slokas, bhatimas and payaras. The action of the drama moves in an upsurge and although not bold in relief, the characters do exist. The plot amalgamates a series of episodes from Balarama killing a wrestler Mustika to Lord Krishna killing Kamsa in order to release his parents, Vasudeva and Devaki from prison. Daityari Thakura is credited with two plays: Nrisimhayatra and Syamanta harana. His contemporary Bhusana Dwija also wrote a drama, Ajamila upakhyana.
Unlike Sankardeva`s dramas dialogues play an important role. This tendency is carried on and gets reflected in Ajamila upakhyana by Bhusana Dwija, The full-fledged emergence of dialogue as an instrument of dramatic expression diminished the role of the sutradhara as the key-character.
