He is the son of the famous Rasdhari and composer Swami Meghashyam. Himself an accomplished singer and instrumentalist, he runs a widely travelled Raslila troupe known for its folk songs and tunes. Ram Swarup Sharma particularly staged his father`s rasiya and bhajan compositions. Ram Swarup Sharma has a large and varied repertoire of Lilas, including those on Gauranga, Vallabhacharya, and Swami Haridas.
