Rajauli is a subdivision in Nawada district of Bihar. This place acts as a weekend destination in Bihar for its lush green vegetation and the hill. It is one of the most prominent hill stations in Bihar, after Mandar Hill.

Rajauli is situated besides the river of Dhanrjay Nadi, on National Highway 31. It is 28.1 km far from its city Nawada.

Rajauli is captured with green hills and the rugged landforms. It is located at 144 km distance from Bihar"s capital Patna. It is a sub-division which touches Jharkhand. It is located at an elevation of 135 m above the sea level.
History of Rajauli
Rajauli has been named after legendary demon king Bali. He was one of the most famous donors. "Vaman avtar" of Lord Vishnu was Bali. Bali was the one for whom the Lord had to come on Earth to break his pride of being the biggest donator of the world. It is said that Rajauli is the place where this legendary king has meditated for years. Rajauli has one more significance because of Sikh religion and one can find a huge fort at the centre of the town which is called "sangat", that means “a body of men and women who meet religiously specially in presence of "Guru Granth Sahib". At this place, a famous fair of Guru Purab is organized. Several kinds of performance and Sikh games take place in this fair and people come in huge numbers.
Climate of Rajauli
Rajauli was the abode to monsoon and prairie forest. The principal trees were Sakhua, Paisar, Khair, Shisham, Parmi, Salaiya Simar, Kendu, and Peepal. The forest and wild life have almost completely disappeared now.
Culture of Rajauli
Rajauli has the concentration of both Hindu and the Sikhs. Chhath Puja, Jitiya, Bhatridutiya are the major festivals host in this place. The Hindu women celebrate Chhath, Tij, Jitiya, and Bhatridutiya etc. with great religious fervour. The important festivals of Hindus are Chhath, Durga Puja, Diwali, Basant Panchami, Shivratri, Holi, Ram Navami and Janmashtami. The important festivals of the Mohammedans are Muharram, Sab-e-Barat, Ramzan, Id, Bakrid and Fatiha-duaz-Dahum. The tribals celebrate Sarhul and Karma as their main festivals with great ecstasy. Hindi is the principle language of this region. However other than that, people in different areas follow different dialects. Magahi is one of the prime languages spoken in the area.

Most buses going on this route generally stop at Rajauli or at Chhapra for food. The nearest railway station is Nawada and nearest airport is Gaya Airport.
