Rajabhatkhawa is situated in the Jalpaiguri district of the state of West Bengal. This small town forms the entry point to the renowned Buxa Tiger Reserve. There are several nearby tourist attractions too. Buxa Fort, which stands at an altitude of 867 meters over the Sinchula Range, right at the middle of the Buxa forest. The fort is historically very significant as it served the British to confine the Indian freedom fighters including Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. A temple of Mahakal is a popular pilgrimage site, located near Rajabhatkhawa. Thick forests of Chilapata and the beautiful riverbed of Jayanti River are also included in the list. A splendid site can be cherished in the dense forest where Jayanti River gracefully meanders with white pebbles scattered along the banks. Pokhri is another pilgrimage site visited by a number of devotees. Cooch Behar town, famed for its Cooch Behar Palace is also situated near Rajabhatkhawa.

The journey leads to an old stalactite cave of Jayanti, also known as Mahakal Cave. Tourists in Rajabhatkhawa can also visit the nearby alluring destinations like Alipurduar, Chilapata and Jalpaiguri.
Rajabhatkhawa can be enjoyed the best during winters. During monsoons the place receives heavy rainfall and raises the humidity level. It also remains close from 15th June to 15th September.
