Construction of Radhanagari Dam
Radhanagari Dam was constructed in 1907 across the Bhogawati River by the decree of Shahu Maharaj the ruler of Kolhapur State. The Radhanagari Dam is 1037 m long, covering an expanse of around 11000 hectares of wooded hills around it. There is a hydroelectric project installed at Radhanagari Dam with a capacity of 10 MW.

Function of Radhanagari Dam
The Radhanagari Dam mainly supplies water to the Kolhapur district. Besides being used for irrigation and harnessing hydro-power, the water from the dam is used in several adjoining villages.
