Early Life of Pulkit Samrat
Pulkit Samrat was born and brought up in a large Hindu joint family in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi. He was born on the 29th of December 1983 in the capital city Delhi. He pursued his education from Montfort School situated in Ashok Vihar, Delhi and from the Manav Sthali School in Rajendra Nagar. Pulkit graduated from the Apeejay Institute of Design in Delhi. He had also completed his course in Bachelor in Multimedia (BMM) from the Asian School of Media studies, Noida.

Career of Pulkit Samrat
Pulkit Samrat shifted to Mumbai in 2005, and made his television debut in the role of `Lakshya Virani` in long-running television soap by Balaji Telefilms, "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" in 2006, which first got him recognition. The character made him the winner of `Best Fresh New Face Award` at the Indian Telly Awards and `Favourite Naya Sadasya` at Star Parivaar Awards. Before `Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi`, Pulkit did some TV commercials and he had also undergone a voice training programme in Mumbai. In 2011, he appeared as the lead in choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant`s musical theatrical "Taj Express".

He made his film debut with "Bittoo Boss" in 2012, wherein he played the role of wedding videographer from Punjab. Though the film didn"t do well, he got noticed. This led to his second film, "Fukrey" produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani in 2013 which became a sleeper hit. In 2014, he then appeared in a cameo role in "Jai Ho" as a police inspector. Then he played lead in "O Teri" produced by Atul Agnihotri, opposite Bilal Amrohi and Sarah Jane Dias. In 2015, his first film was Arbaaz Khan`s "Dolly Ki Doli" opposite Sonam Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao.
