Ptyas Korros, an Indian reptile which is commonly known as the Chinese ratsnake or Indo-Chinese rat snake, is a species of colubrid snake endemic to Southeast Asia.

Ptyas Korros are snout obtuse, projecting; eye very large. The rostral of Ptyas Korros are visible from above; internasals shorter than the prefrontals; frontal as long as its distance from the tip of the snout or a little longer, as long as the parietals; two or three loreals; a large preocular, sometimes touching the frontal; a small subocular below; two postoculars; temporals 2 + 2; eight upper labials, fourth and fifth entering the eye; five lower labials in contact with the anterior chin-shields which are shorter than the posterior.

Colour of Ptyas Korros
Ptyas Korros are brown or olive above; the scales on the posterior part of the body and on the tail often yellow and edged with black. The Ptyas Korros are in lower surface yellow. The young specimens of Ptyas Korros are with transverse series of round whitish spots or with narrow yellow transverse bars.

The length of head and body of Ptyas Korros is about 1,080 mm (43 in); tail 700 mm (28 in.).
Concentration of Ptyas Korros
Ptyas Korros are concentrated in the regions like Myanmar; Cambodia, China (Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi, Hunan, Yunnan, Hong Kong), India (Assam; Arunachal Pradesh) Namdapha (Changlang district, Chessa, Chimpu, Itanagar - Papum Pare district), Bangladesh, Indonesia (Sumatra, Borneo, Java, Bali), Laos, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, West Malaysia, Singapore Island. Ptyas Korros are also concentrated in the Indian states like the northern fringes of West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Shillong, Dispur, Aizwal, Imphal and Gawahati. It is also found in Malda District, Birbhum District, Bardhaman District and some parts of northern part of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh and the some parts of foothills of Himalayan Mountain Range.
