Private Durbar Hall, Mysore PalacePrivate Durbar Hall in Mysore Palace is the place where king and his closet advisers would meet to discuss the affairs of state. The Private Durbar Hall is most gorgeously decorated hall, with a harmonious composition in colours. The Private Durbar Hall has the multicoloured essence along with the South Indian form of architecture.

The beauty of the furniture, ceiling and the pillars and the royal seats of the details is unsurpassed in Mysore Palace, situated in Karnataka. The paint work in the durbar hall is original but here the accent is predominantly in blue and gold.

The ceilings of the Durbar Hall in the corridor surrounding the atrium are carved in teak. On the floor of the Private Durbar Hall between each cast-iron pillar, which are all hollow is marble inlaid with semi-precious gems in scrolled floral work by the craftsmen of Agra.

The artisans of the Agra and the local artisans completed the work of decorating the Durbar Hall of the Mysore Palace. In the Durbar Hall room, there is a glass windows and bas relief plaster of paris works showing Lord Hanuman receiving a ring from Lord Rama and also the paintings of Lord Buddha.
