Prayag United S.C, formerly known as United Sports Club`s, is a football club from Kolkata, West Bengal. The club grabbed the promotion to the 1st division of the I-League in 2007 seasons.

Prayag United S.C., Indian Football ClubPrayag United S.C. is football club from Kolkata in West Bengal, India. The club presently plays in the I-League. This club was formed in the in the year 1927 as Eveready Association. In the 2006 the club was renamed as United Sports Club to lure title sponsor and the football division managed by the United Sport Football Team Private Ltd. As the matter of sponsorship was settled, the club grabbed the promotion to the 1st division of the I-League in 2007 seasons.

United SC, for the 2010-11 I-League seasons, played at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. United SC, on Indian Transfer deadline day, signed Sunil Chhetri, India national football team striker till the end of the season. In June 2011 old sponsors Chirag choose to end all connections with United SC and thus brought about the change in the name, and Chirag United SC became United Sports Club.

Even though this club has lost a lot in terms of money, but it has successfully retained all its players. It was announced on August 3rd 2011 that, United Sports Club has signed a deal with Prayag Group and as a result on August 7th 2011 United Sports Club formally transformed there name to Prayag United S.C.

The colour of the crest for Prayag United club is Blue and White. However, the colour of the jersey for Prayag United is purple and yellow. The team is still owned and financed by Chirag Computers. United Sports Club`s official colours were purple and white. The jersey for home matches includes purple and yellow, with purple shorts and white socks while the away kit is all white with red socks.

Prayag United Sports Club at present play at the 120,000 capacity of Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. Though, initially, the club had said that they would move to Siliguri but, presently it seems that they might stay in Kolkata for the 2011-12 seasons and will move during the 2012-13 season.
