Porbandar Beach is a pristine sea beach nestled in between the Veraval and Dwaraka. It lies towards the southwest coast of the state of Gujarat. Porbandar Beach comprises an ancient port, which doubles its significance and beauty. The place Porbandar is the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi- the Father of Nation.

Besides Porbandar Beach in Gujarat, there is a city named Porbandar. Porbandar is the city of Mahatma Gandhi. From Porbandar, the tourism of Gandhi Circuit began.

Near Porbandar Beach, there located Kirti Mandir. This Kirti Mandir is a memorial museum of Mahatma Gandhi. This is the most important tourist attraction site in Gujarat. It is said that Kirti Mandir was the residence of Mahatma Gandhi and at present it exhibits different belongings of Mahatma Gandhi.

Tourism of Porbandar defines Kirti Mandir, House of Mahatma Gandhi, Porbandar Beach, Bharat Mandir and Planetarium. At planetarium there are afternoon sessions which are the prominent attraction site of Porbander. Another tourist spot, Bharat Mandir is situated just opposite to Planetarium. Bileshwar is yet another attraction of the Porbandar city. It is located at a distance of 15 kilometers. The temple was built during the 7th century and is dedicated to Lord Shiva (Mahadeva). Barda Lion Sanctuary is also worth mentioning.
