Poonam Narula made her debut in the world of television with the Balalji Production "Mano Ya Na Mano". This was followed by a downbeat role in "Kahiin Kissi Roz". There was no stopping for Poonam. She did varied genres of roles, counting a comic character in Shararat and a role with shades of grey in "Kasautii Zindagii Kay".
