Plage Paradiso in Puducherry is just like what its name suggests a paradise beach in this part of the world. It is mainly created on a small island of sorts, which separates the backwater area from the actual sea.

The Plage Paradiso Island is located at a distance of 8 kilometres from the main town of Chunnamber, along with Cuddalore main road, Puducherry.

The sand at the Plage Paradiso appears as a mixture of golden reflection over silvery sheet beside a turquoise water vessel. The vividness of the colours and the peace are picturesque to the soul. The highlight is that there is a creek flowing on one side. Sand of the Paradise beach is soft in nature, unlike coarse sand of the Auroville beach. Thus making them a perfect ground for sports and having fun. One can clearly see the point where the sea and the backwaters meet each other. This point is said to be the perfect fishing ground because in these backwaters sometimes, fishes from the sea venture out. Thus known for its scenic beauty it is one of the most attractive sites in India surrounded with cool.

This place has a number of tourist lodges and hotels of various tariffs. Along with shining sea beach the place also attract the tourist towards the pleasant sea cruise. These cruises often take the visitor to the mid sea where they can view the dancing dolphins that pop around in the blue waters of the sea. The sight is most memorable for the large coconut grooves that rustle throughout the night creating some mesmerizing effect for its visitors. In general the place is mainly known for recreating activities like trekking, backwater cruise, fishing, beach volleyball, theme parties and picnics. Staying overnight in the tree-houses on the backwater banks is in itself a great and relishing experience.

The beach has several huts to help change clothes and take cover if it begins to rain. For the boat ride one have different options. One can pick from a backwater speed boat ride, a jet ski or a boat ride to the Paradise Beach. The backwater speed boat ride is a lot of fun and can be hired in groups.

Paradise Beach is located at Chunnamber and it can only be reached by boats or cruises. Tourists can take a boat to arrive at the beach from morning till 3 p.m.
