Places of interests at Dalhousie are comprised of both the scenic beauty and the historical beauty. A hill station where one can get the charm of colonial commercialisation and voice of the damsels in local dialect. Rich in colonial architecture, Dalhousie is the town that preserves some beautiful kirks. St. John`s Church is the oldest one built in 1863, St. Francis was built in 1894, St. Andrew in 1903 and St. Patric in 1909.
Subhash Baoli
The snow clapped Subhash Baoli Mountains captivates the minds of the people. Its height is approximately 2,085 meters. It has a link with the great freedom fighter; Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose took refuge here.
Satdhara
Situated on the way to Panjpulla, Satdhara are seven springs rising to a height of approximately 2,036m or 6,678 ft. Since they are the storehouse of minerals like mica their medical values are quite high.
Bakrota Hills and the `Round` (2085m)
Bakrota Hills and its snow capped ranges offers a spectacular view to its tourists. It has its location nearly less than even five kilometers from the center of the town. It rises approximately to 2, 085 meters. There is a circuit of walls round the hills. This round also appeals to the people and tourers.
Kalatope
Kalatope is a landmark in Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh. Lying almost five kms from Dalhousie, Kalatope is a beautiful `getaway`. Nature`s beauty is in full bloom. There is a captivating palace, and a forest rest house. To be specific from G.P.O. Square Kalatope lies almost ten kms. It rises to a height of 2440m. Kalatope is an ideal abode of numerous species of wild fauna. Ghoral, barking deer, and the Himalayan black bear, and huge avian animals deserve mentioning. There is also a Forest Rest house, which provides accommodation of the tourists who desire to spend time during night.
Dainkund
If one wants to catch glimpse of the panoramic view on a crystal clear day. One can see Lofty Mountains, the twisting flow of rivers like Beas River, Ravi River and Chenab river and valleys and what not.
A special attraction of Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh is Bara Pathar which lies four kms away. It is a tiny temple which in the midst of the lush dense forestry. Its deity is Bhulwani Mata. It is part of Ahla village, which lies on the passageway to Kalatope. In commemoration of the deity a fair is organized during the month of July.
Jandhri Ghat
Encircled by beautiful pine trees Jandhri Ghat houses a magnificent palace. It also has got an interesting story behind it. It is said that ancient kings of Chamba have established their dominion and continues ruling the place till the Lord Dalhousie started his governance. Mighty streams also are found here. Numerous shikhar trophies are being displayed in the palace. Thus it becomes an ideal locale for picnicking.
Khajjiar
A place of interest of Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh is Khajjar. It is a wonderful tiny plain and has a height of approximately 1951 meters. It is an ideal tourists haven and also lays almost twenty-seven kms from Dhoudar. Curved like a shape of a saucer this place is encircled with pine trees. A lake is found in the centre enhancing the beauty of the place. One also finds a beautiful golf field and also a small Khajjinag temple whose origin dates back to as early as twelfth century. They add to the glory of the place to a great extent. Few more places of interest are found in Dalhousie, Himacahl Pradesh. Kugti Wild Life Sanctuary lie in the vicinity. One also can visit the spectacular Tundah Wild Life Sanctuary, which stretches up to 45 kms.
Quite a handful of churches are built at Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh. They also have drawn the admiration of tourists as well. St. Andrew`s Church and St. Patrick`s Church at Balun, St. Francis Church at Subhash Chowk and St. John`s Church at Gandhi Chowk are noteworthy.
