Further, in 2004, the college has been accredited "A" Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which is entrusted with the task of performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation of Universities and Colleges in the country. The college is affiliated to University of Mumbai.

Objective of Pillai College

History of Pillai College
Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science was established in 1998 by Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai whose main vision was to provide quality education to all students, irrespective of religion, caste, region, financial condition and merit and academic performance.

Courses Offered at Pillai College
Courses offered at Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science include Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S.), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance), Bachelor of Science (Computer Science), Bachelor of Science (Information Technology) and Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology). The college also conducts two-year postgraduate courses under the University of Mumbai, like Master of Commerce (M. Com), Master of Science (Biotechnology) and Master of Science (Information Technology).

Facilities of Pillai College
Pillai College of Arts, Commerce and Science provides several infrastructural facilities. The college has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell providing career guidance to all the students at Pillai College. The Placement Cell regularly conducts workshops on soft skills and company-specific tests and training programmes for successful selection of all eligible students. A fully computerised state-of-the-art air-conditioned auditorium is available at the college for conducting pre-placement presentation to corporate bodies.
