Located on the banks of the Narmada River near the Omkareshwara Temple in the state of Madhya Pradesh, the Peshawar Ghat is said to be named after the erstwhile rulers of the region. Devotees visit the ghat to take a holy dip in the waters of the Naramada and during festivals like Maha Shivaratri, the Peshawar Ghat is thronged by tourists and devotees from all over.
