Pavaka and Pavamana were the two brilliant sons of Agni.

Pavaka and Pavamana were the two of the brilliant sons of Agni. According to the Vayu Purana, Pavamana is the fire produced by friction, or Nirmathaya and Pavaka is electric or Vaidyata fire.

The Bhagavata Gita makes these two fires the sons of Antarddhana. Pavaka was made chief of the Vasu.
