Patna Medical College, Patna, BiharThe Patna Medical College (PMC) is one of the oldest medical institutions in Bihar. Located in Patna, the college was established in the year 1925 and the State Government of Bihar is in charge of managing the college. The college has been working for achieving many aims and objectives. The college`s objectives include offering quality medical education to the students of the state, developing a better health infrastructure in the state and also providing quality treatment to the people of Bihar. The college is affiliated to the Patna University.

The Patna Medical College (PMC), offers several courses in different fields of medical science at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college admits several students every year and it offers separate hostel facilities for the male and female students. The courses that the college offers include the main undergraduate course of MBBS and the postgraduate courses like MD, MS, M.Ch and PhD. The college also offers some P. G. Diploma courses and Super Speciality courses like MCH Neuro Plastic Surgery etc. The other super speciality courses offered by PMC, Patna include MD Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine, Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy, General Medicine, Microbiology, Paediatrics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Psychiatry, Radio-Diagnosis, Radiotherapy, Social & Preventive Medicine etc.

Apart from the above mentioned courses, the courses like MS in Anaesthesia, Anatomy, ENT, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Ortho Surgery, Surgery; and 1 year Diploma Courses like DA, DO, DTCD, DCH, DD, DLO, DMRD, DGO, DCP, DOrth etc are also offered in Patna Medical College (PMC), Patna. The college admits its students through the Combined Medical Education Entrance Test (CMEET) and the examination is conducted for admission to courses like MBBS/BDS (including BAMS/BHMS/BUMS and Diploma in Physiotherapy and Ophthalmic Assistant). The same examination is held for admission in some other colleges in the state, as well.

According to the rules and regulations of the Patna Medical College (PMC), Patna, the students should be aged at least 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission and should have academic qualification of 12 yrs senior secondary, with Eng, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with 50% aggregate marks. The candidates who have already appeared in the qualifying examination can also apply for getting admitted in the college. The candidates should be medically fit to get admitted in PMC, Patna. There is a reservation of 5 seats, available for the Government of India nominees, in the college. Admission in the college is open for all the Indian citizens and for the Bihar natives.
